Chillingham Castle

Chillingham Castle is open to the public from Easter till the end of October.  Gardens, Lakes and Park lands, Castle State Rooms, Dungeons and Torture Chamber are also open for tours.

At any time of year it's a fabulous setting for a wedding and is also reputed to be England’s most haunted castle!   We visited on the 31st October to take photographs to re-create this beautiful cake and there were some strange shapes on some of the photographs, not that we believe in ghosts!

To accompany the cake the couple asked us to build a spooky Staircase filled with ghoulish cupcakes featuring vampires, tomb stones, headless characters, warlocks, ghosts, damsels, knights  and witches, together with a framed gallery of their own family portraits on the walls.
