Roll fondant or gumpaste into a rope at least the length of the bead maker and a little larger than the bead diameter on a silicone mat or board. Place fondant on a flat surface. Open the bead-maker and center it, open side down, over fondant. Press bead-maker onto fondant. Close the now filled bead-maker.
Open the bead-maker slightly to be sure the moild is completely filled out. With a spatula, scrape all excess fondant off along the slit on the closed bead-maker. Open the bead-maker and let the of fondant fall out.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the mould, the mould tends to crack after bending a few times. It does not hurt the look of the finished beads.
